Support for Sata Sanitize Command

gms-electronics
New Contributor

The Sata Standard outlines mandatory and optional commands to obtain NVME certification for products.  The full document can be revisioned here.

The command "sanitize" referenced in the document  is optional, therefor the question comes up if the solidgm / intel drives support the command fully.

If possible please provide a support matrix.

Dear gms-electronics,

Thank you for contacting Solidigm™ Support.

As per the SATA standard, the "sanitize" command is indeed optional. We can confirm that Solidigm drives do support this command, allowing for the secure erasure of data on the drive. This feature ensures that data cannot be recovered, which is particularly useful for maintaining data security and privacy.

However, we are unable to provide a detailed support matrix at this time. If you have specific questions about the capabilities or compatibility of particular Solidigm drives with the "sanitize" command or any other features, please contact us via  our Support Hub    and create a ticket . We will be happy to assist you!

Kind regards,
Gleb
