Resolved! M.2 and can't remove security freeze

I recently rebuilt an old computer using the same parts it had before. But the m.2 appears to be suffing from a security freeze. I can't wipe it or even get the system to recognize it as a drive. ​its an intel 660p 1tb m.2.

Resolved! 660P 2tb on late 2013 Macbook - 380MBs Write and 397MBs Read - very slow

I have installed the above drive but getting really slow speeds compared to the original SSD. The instructions to ugrade firmware fro Majave don't work as disk utility will not load the iso.What else can I do to get the expected speeds?

Resolved! I have an Intel 545s SSD M.2x80mm Sata 3.0. I neeed an adapter card with a bracket to connect to my motherboard by PCI. The only adapters I see have NVMe or NGFF which only have 1 slot. What do I need and where can I find it?
