I plan to purchase an Intel X25-M SSD and understand that there is a version G1 and G2. How can I be certain when I purchase this drive that it is the more recent G2?
Thanks

The seller will list the Product Code on their site here is the list:
http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/apac/eng/products/nand/feature/index.htm http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/apac/eng/products/nand/feature/index.htm
All Intel® X25-M SATA Solid-State Drive listed in that table are G2.

Which retailer do you plan to purchase it from?
The G2 came out over a year ago so it is very unlikely that you will get a G1. Most retailers have cleared their stock a long time ago.
If you want to be sure, just check the product code. It will contain either "G1" or "G2".

Thank you for the information.
I have not yet selected a vendor; do you have a recommendation?

Which size are you looking at?
Will you be purchasing through a distributor or retail vender? All the drives are basically the same and your warranty is through Intel. Just purchase one at the cheapest store or where ever it is on sale.
