I am looking to purchase an mSATA ssd and the 80gb 310 is really a sweet spot for me. The problem I am facing is I want to run Win XP 64-bit. So obviously, there is no TRIM support. I am going to align the drive by setting up the partition with Win 7 and then install XP 64-bit on that partition.
My question is, does the 310 mSATA have background garbage collection? Or is there any alternative if it doesn't?
