Hi there, anybody knows what's the best way to connect http://ark.intel.com/products/75613/Intel-SSD-530-Series-120GB-PCIe-Module-mSATA-6Gbs-20nm-MLC this drive on a regular PCIe bus?

I have read on http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/storage/3494565/install-msata-drive-in-pc-with-sata-connector/ this page that there are two kind of msata drive: those that use SATA and those which use PCI Express, although both use a connector, which is physically identical.

In the http://ark.intel.com/products/75613/Intel-SSD-530-Series-120GB-PCIe-Module-mSATA-6Gbs-20nm-MLC ark.intel page the drive have pcie in the name but SATA 6.0 specified as interface.

It's not clear to me what kind of adapter should I buy to use the drive on my motherboard.

Any suggestion?

Hi sylvia,

unfortunately it doesn't work. I have installed the PCI card on a Asus AM1I-A motherboard. The board see the hdd in the bios, but any operating system I try to install fails when probing installed hdds (I have tried with Linux, Windows and BSD). It have no problems when the hdd is not plugged in the pci card and I boot from another hdd. The Asus support tell me that it can be some kind of incompatibility between the mother board and the hdd. I have also upgraded to the latest firmware both the disk and the motherboard with no improvement.
