I am trying to update the firmware with the SSD FUT tool.
I got it to boot from the USB and it comes to the EULA screen.
However the Keyboard/Mouse are non functional.
Other users have this issue on USB 3.0 ports. Unfortunately the Mac Mini does not have a USB 2.0 port.
Is there a work around apart from stripping the computer down to remove the HD?
Thanks

Thanks for joining SSD community.
I understand you are trying to update SSD firmware using a Mac Mini computer.
This is definitely an issue with your computer model. If your computer does not detect USB keyboard then I recommend updating SSD firmware using another computer with USB 3.0 support.
Allan.

Hi Technosprout,
A new version of the Firmware Update Tool (FUT) is finally available. You can download it at:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=18363&lang=eng&ProdId=3790 Intel® Download Center
This version of the tool resolves issues with the Mac Mini USB keyboard and mouse.
I want to be clear that this is really only a change to the FUT tool itself. I can't say that this will address the reports of periodic high activity or slow response on these systems.
We have not been able to find satisfactory solutions to these reported issues.

I can confirm the keyboard, and mouse are functional on the Apple Mac with USB 3.0 ports.
The firmware is able to fully access the intel SSD hard drive installed.
Thanks
