Intel SSD 600p incompatibility with Windows 10 version 1803.

I have ACER VX 15 shipped with 256GB Intel SSD 600p series. After updating my system to Windows 10 version 1803 it is constantly crashing. Microsoft has confirmed that few Intel SSDs are not compatible with the update and Intel has confirmed that its Intel SSD 600p and pro-6000 models are having this issue. I just want to know the status regarding this issue from Intel. When the patch will be available for Intel 600p SSD ?

Same problem. Windows 10 pushed the April 2018 update 1803 two days ago to my Yoga Lenovo 520 which has an INTEL SSDPEKKW256G7 SSD. Now system is totally unstable, crashing in intervals of 10 minutes to 1 hour, with the "critical process died" message. Crashes are leading to data loss, so beware!! Now, my Yoga is bricked. I can't revert to previous state as I had no SDD space and I had to delete the old Windows 10, so I am stuck.

Hello,

We have an update for this thread, Intel and Microsoft have identified the root cause and are in the process of completing final data analysis and validation to confirm that the solution will resolve issues with the Windows 10 April 2018 update. A solution will be provided in an upcoming update to the Windows 10 OS. When we have more details we will post to this thread.Regards,Andres V.

Hello totenkopf,

I understand that your system is not recognizing your SSD.In order to provide the adequate assistance, could you please answer the following questions?
  • Is this an out-of-the-box issue? If not, for how long have you been using the SSD before it stopped been recognized by your system?
  • Have you tested the SSD in another system? Also, is the SSD directly connected to the system (not via external USB drive)?
Additionally, please share the report generated by the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-). I'll be waiting for your response. Regards,Andres V.
