I have been using a 750 1.2tb pcie ssd with a GA-Z170XSOC FORCE motberboard for the past week with no problems (as a storage device, not boot) but then this morning when powering the computer on, the card no longer shows up in Win10.
I had a look and there are no activity/power lights coming from the card, although I can feel that the card is warm.
In the bios i also no longer see INTEL SSD as a boot option (not that I was using it as a boot device, but it had always appeared as a selectable drive).
I have tried all the PCIE slots on the board, with and without additional cards (GFX, network etc).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Modstereo

Hello Modstereo,
Here are a few things you can check about this issue:
- Was there any change or event around the time this issue started? (Power Outage, Hardware change, new software, system updates, etc.)
- Confirm that the SSD is in a PCIe* 3.0 x4 Slot.
- Go to Device Manager - Storage Controllers and check if the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23929/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Family-for-NVMe-Drivers?produc... Intel® SSD Data Center Family for NVMe Drivers is displayed, it shows as Intel® SSD P3700/P3600/P3500/750 Series. You could also check if the drive is shown in Computer Management - Disk Management.
- Is the drive detected by the management apps https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/18455/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox?product=79678 Intel® SSD Toolbox, or https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23931/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool?product=79678 Intel® SSD Data Center Tool?

Hey JB,
Thanks for the reply.
-No hardware or software changes. Computer was powered off overnight, connected to a UPS.
-Have tried the card in two x16 slots and two x8 slots, all of them are PCIE 3.0 slots.
-Device is not shown in DeviceManager, Disk Management or in the Intel SSD Toolbox.
I have just tested the card in another computer in a x8 PCIE 3.0 slot and it also does not show up in Windows or BIOS.
