Hi all,
I have a question about compatibility Intel 750 SSD with Dell T5600 Workstation.
My T5600 is using x79 chipset with SandyBridge Xeon, and it is not support NVME.
I don`t want to use it bootable device but only using storage perpose. (Hyper-V Storage)
T5600`s Technical Sheet : http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln290309/the-hardware-specifications-for-the-precision... The hardware specifications for the Precision T5600 Desktop Workstation | Dell US
How performance will be this situation?
Just half?
Thank you

Hello dydrlek,
For the Intel® SSD 750 Series to be detected, even as a secondary storage device, your PCIe port must support NVMe*.Based on these hardware specifications, the Intel® SSD 750 Series is not compatible with your workstation. It's unlikely that the drive will be detected at all. However, there is always the chance that these specifications are not complete. For a second opinion, we can recommend checking with your computer manufacturer (Dell*).- https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/memory-and-storage/enthusiast-ssds/000005797.html Before You Buy an Intel® SSD 750 Series. We hope this information helps.Best regards,Carlos A.08-30-2017 04:51 PM
