Hello,
I'm trying to update the firmware on some recently obtained DC P4510 1.6TB drives. Downloading the storage tool it says all four have the latest firmware despite all of them not having the same version. It says VDV1VD03 and VDV1D05 are the latest but I know there's an even newer version available. It will not let me update the firmware. I need to update the firmware to fix a polling dropout issue. Please let me know what I can do to fix this issue.

Dear osrk,
Thank you for contacting us. Here are some steps we can try to troubleshoot and resolve the firmware update issue:
Ensure Latest Version of Storage Tool: Make sure you are using the latest version of our storage tool. An outdated tool may not recognize new firmware updates. You can download the latest version directly from our support page.
Disable Drive Write Protection: Some SSDs have a write protection mode that could prevent firmware updates. Please check if this setting is enabled and disable it temporarily to perform the update.
Try a Different System or Controller: If possible, attempt the firmware update using a different computer or a different SATA/NVMe controller to rule out any system-specific issues.
If none of the above steps work, there might be a more complex issue at play. In that case, you can create a ticket on the Solidigm Support hub and we will be happy to assist you.
Kind regards,
Gleb
