I have 3x these Sun Oracle 6.4TB INTEL P4618 SSD drives on old VDV1RZ09 firmware. The SOLIDGM Storage tool tells me to contact system vendor for latest firmware. I don't have a support package as these drives are being used in a homelab setup. Can anyone on here point me to the latest firmware and the tools required to update the cards.
Thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for reaching out.
The firmware version currently installed on your drives, VDV1RZ09, is an OEM-specific firmware release associated with Oracle/Sun systems. Because the drives contain an OEM firmware signature, the Solidigm Storage Tool (SST) correctly restricts standard firmware updates and displays the message to contact the system vendor.
At this time, Solidigm generic firmware packages cannot be directly applied to OEM-labeled drives through SST. The latest publicly available generic firmware for the Intel/Solidigm P4618 series is VDV10194.
Your available options are:
For supported environments, firmware updates should always be performed using the system vendor’s validated package and update utility to ensure compatibility and data integrity.
