New Firmware and Raid 0

I plan on putting a pair of x25 g2 in a new Dell xps 8000(i7860) in raid 0. The 2 drives I have are the oem version and are untouched (SSDSA2MH080G2C1). Should I even bother trying to put the new firmware on these drives? Thanks for any input.

I have the XPS 8000 too. Just did the firmware update and it hosed my Windows 7 installation. Drive won't boot Windows 7 anymore. You might want to wait. I don't know if it's a Dell problem or Intel problem. The SSD claims to have a successful firmware update. The Dell BIOS claims a SMART error.
