Hiya

since latest months of 2009 i've runned on my desktop an INTEL SSD X25M-G2 80 Gb..until now...

Yesterday suddenly without any bad advise my Windows 7 prof 64 won't start anymore...

Booting from my secondary HD with Vista 32 i can see the SSD but it is empty and only 8 MB are recognized over 80 GB !!!! I've tried many ways and many recovery software but i cannot still see my 80 GB's...

SSD has worked regularly every day and optimized every week with toolbox....

Someone can help me ?

Thanks in advance and happy new 2011 to all !!

Any new SSD will have some "usage" as indicated by the SMART statistics, from the testing performed on it prior to shipment. I have several Intel 80GB SSDs, and none of them showed zero usage values in some of the SMART values. I can't recall the exact figures when they were new, but the numbers you mentioned do not seem excessive to me.

Who knows what a retailer will do when replacing a product, and can any manufacture control what they do?
