which SSD series doesn't need Trimm?
07-28-2016 05:52 PM
All PCIe series of the DC family, e.g. DC P3700 etc. are designed without the need to run trim. Although you can do so, but the action will introduce application latency, which may or may not be important to you.
Running trimming may expose other issues most NVMe SSD users are not aware of, if you use sector size different from the default 512.

Baszek2,
As mentioned by previous user the Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family are designed for enterprise needs, where the SSD is usually active 24/7. Now, for the Data Center drives, housekeeping occurs as the drives operates without affecting its performance. This is especially beneficial in RAID configurations, as most RAID controller don't support TRIM.Please let us know if you need further assistance.NC08-05-2016 03:18 PM
