Total Bytes Written SSD Intel® SSD DC S3520

2. ОС: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Hello Григорий,

Thank you for contacting Intel® Technical Support. Based on our translation your request is the following: "Good day! We use in the server as a part of a raid (raid10) SSD-drives DC S3520. Recently, we have observed such a situation: periodically (at an arbitrary time) the operating system stops, any disk activity stops, and abruptly. I watched several times in the resource manager, at a certain moment the traffic just disappears, and the list of processes does not decrease, after 2-3 minutes the network interface is turned off, after some time the system stops completely "freezes". Helps hard reset. Input: 1. Raid10 of 4 drives (SSD used for 2 years) 2. OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP13. The system is encrypted TrueCrypt. Question: can this situation be related to the operation of the disk subsystem? Perhaps at this time, there is a short time peak load on the disk, the number of reading / write operations increases, and in general such traffic is generated that exceeds the allowed TBW parameter." As we understand, you need assistance with your Intel® SSD DC S3520 Series. If we infer correctly we will appreciate if you can provide us with the following information:
  • A screenshot of the "Disk Management" of windows showing all your HDDs and partitions.
  • The SMART logs extracted from the Intel® SSD DC S3520 Series.
The Intel's Data Center Tool (DCT) can be used to read out the SMART attributes to download this tool please follow this link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27863/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27863/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool We will be looking forward to your reply. Hello Григорий,

Thank you for your reply. In order to further assist you, we need you to provide us with screenshots of the device management of Windows showing all your devices. Based on the information you shared we noticed the following:
  • Your BIOS is setup in "legacy mode" is always recommended to use UEFI mode to assure support with storage devices that are equal or bigger than 2 TB.
This being said we recommend you to install the latest drivers available on the downloadcenter.intel.com for your board and RAID controller and to test if that solves the issue. In case that you are already running the latest version of the drivers we recommend you to try using any of the supported and tested OS listed on the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000007026/server-products/server-systems.ht... Operating System Compatibility for the Intel® Server Board S2600WT Family and lets us know the results. We will be looking forward to your reply.
