Hi there, anybody knows what's the best way to connect http://ark.intel.com/products/75613/Intel-SSD-530-Series-120GB-PCIe-Module-mSATA-6Gbs-20nm-MLC this drive on a regular PCIe bus?
I have read on http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/storage/3494565/install-msata-drive-in-pc-with-sata-connector/ this page that there are two kind of msata drive: those that use SATA and those which use PCI Express, although both use a connector, which is physically identical.
In the http://ark.intel.com/products/75613/Intel-SSD-530-Series-120GB-PCIe-Module-mSATA-6Gbs-20nm-MLC ark.intel page the drive have pcie in the name but SATA 6.0 specified as interface.
It's not clear to me what kind of adapter should I buy to use the drive on my motherboard.
Any suggestion?

Hello Pengol, thanks for contacting us through the Intel communities.
Regarding your question, in order to connect this SSD on a PCIe slot, this slot needs to have support for mSATA. This way you won't need to use an adapter.
For example our DZ87KLT board, has One PCI Express Full-/Half-Mini Card slot with support for mSATA, therefore an SSD should work without problems.

Hi Sylvia,
thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately my motherboard doesn't have a msata slot.
Is there any chance to connect my drive to the pcie slot?

I understand Pengol. In that case you can try a PCI card. The following link will give you an example of it. However I would recommend you to do some investigation before making a purchase since we can't guarantee it.

I suggest you to contact the product manufacturer for advice on compatibility with their system. They might have a tested adapter you can use.
