dp62,
We would like to do some testing here in our lab, we will measure the times running a secure erase and we will share our findings.
Please allow us some time here to get back to you in order to properly address your concern.NC06-16-2016 12:16 AM
Has there been any progress on this .
Were you able to confirm why isdct delete –intelSSD 0 was failing.
If the format command the only method of erasing data on these devices ?

dp62,
We have tested here and it works fine, the situation is we do not have OEM versions of the SSD, like the one you have. Now, the command line we use is the standard that comes in the user guide, which it does not work in the OEM drives. If HPE* told you the line needs to be modified is for you to be able to secure erase the disk - That will not take long, it really depends on system workload and specs. With the command provided by HPE* you were successful to erase the SSD, have you confirmed the drive has no data nor partitions?NC06-23-2016 06:56 AM
