Just bought a new Dell i7 box and want to swap out the harddisk with 600P M.2 256G SSD. Bought a M.2 to SATA adaptor. Problem is the Bios on Dell cannot detect the 600P drive using SATA interface. Searched a bit on the web. There are discussion about 600p is NVMe drive. And some other talk about UEFI Bios support. Want to ask:
Can 600p be used with a SATA adaptor for SATA 3 interface on a Dell inspiron 3650 box? Anything to do with the NVMe nature?

Hello Afong,
We understand you bought the SSD 600p NVMe* but your computer cannot detect it using a M.2 to SATA adapter. FIrst of all, this will not work since the SSD and the adapter uses different interfaces (SATA vs NVMe).That is the main reason why your SSD cannot be detected, in that case, you need to plug the SSD directly to a M.2 slot PCIe Gen 3 x4, that supports NVMe*.Hope this information is useful.Regards,NC02-07-2017 02:11 PM
