Is there a way to check current firmware version and manage Dell branded Intel P3600 SSDs? Is your tool compatible to perform firmware updates
Server running ESXI 6.0U1

Hello SarfarazM,
Regarding your SSD, since this one you have is an OEM version, our Intel® Data Center Tool software is not going to work to perform the firmware update, we encourage you to contact Dell* (In your case), in order to perform a firmware update with their tool. Our tool will only work to perform the update for generic drives.
In order to verify the current firmware version of your SSD, you can use our tool, at least it will show you the drive info, including the firmware version. In case you need it, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26221/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool here is the link to download it.
Also, here is the http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/solid-state-drives/ssd-software/Intel_SSD_D... user's guide, in case you need to look for more commands. In order to check your SSD, once the software is installed, the command you need to run is: isdct show
Let us know if you require further assistance.

Thanks for the update NC.
I am going to use the Dell tool to update firmware.
However, the issue here we have is the Intel tool does not even list the drives and hence I am unable to view the current firmware version of the SSDs.
VMware detects the drive and its working but The Dell OEM Intel P3600 NVMe SSD firmware version isn't fully reported under VMWare & is truncated to only the first
four characters so the firmware version is unable to be determined (see below).
Devfs Path:
/vmfs/devices/disks/t10.NVMe____INTEL_SSDPE2ME800G4D_SFF_NVME_800GB_____CVMD5526005C800GGN__00000001Vendor: NVMe
Model: INTEL SSDPE2ME80
Revision: 8DV1
IS there any way I can determine the firmware version using your tool, please send the complete command list. If there is any alternate way, I am happy to try that as well.
Please reply asap as this is critical.
Regards
Sarfaraz
