I have ACER VX 15 shipped with 256GB Intel SSD 600p series. After updating my system to Windows 10 version 1803 it is constantly crashing. Microsoft has confirmed that few Intel SSDs are not compatible with the update and Intel has confirmed that its Intel SSD 600p and pro-6000 models are having this issue. I just want to know the status regarding this issue from Intel. When the patch will be available for Intel 600p SSD ?

It looks like that update is the fix: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4100403/windows-10-update-kb4100403
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4100403/windows-10-update-kb4100403"Addresses an issue with power regression on systems with NVMe devices from certain vendors.".
Edit: Yeah if you click that link, it says the SSD issues are fixed with this update!

I wonder if Intel could pressure MS into creating a download that has this CU integrated into 1803 so people dealing with this problem could simply start with a functional build?
If not Intel could do the integration and host the download themselves.
Its a pretty trivial step to integrate a CU but I am sure that there are users out there that wont know about this process and/or will be super annoyed that this "fix" only works if you can actually install 1803 and keep it stable long enough to install the CU.

Hello,
As some of you have noticed, Microsoft has released an update (KB4100403) to resolve this issue impacting the Intel® SSD 600p Series and Intel® SSD Pro 6000p Series. For installation instructions, see the Microsoft release notes at answers.microsoft.com.Regards,Andres V.05-25-2018 01:00 PM
I could install and run 1803 without problems, although some ASUS functions did not work yet. So i returned to 1709.
There was also a problem with the temperature of my 600p, which under 1709 runs at 21-35 degrees C, but with 1803 it constantly ran at 55-60 degrees C.
Do you think this problem is also solved?

Hello hvgsel51,
I understand that you are experiencing different temperature levels depending on the Microsoft release you install. Currently, there is no mention (neither from Intel nor Microsoft) of a relation between the SSD's temperature value and the aforementioned Microsoft Windows 10 versions, so I can't assure you that the issue you are experiencing is directly related to the topic covered in this community thread. Although, I'll gladly assist you in this matter. First, in order to provide the adequate assistance, please share the report generated by the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-). According to the Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox – Release Notes (https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27656/eng/Intel_SSD_Toolbox_3_5_2_Release_Notes.pdf https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27656/eng/Intel_SSD_Toolbox_3_5_2_Release_Notes.pdf) the latest firmware version associated with the Intel® SSD 600p Series is 121C, are you using this version? If not, please update your SSD either with the Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27656/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27656/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox) or the Intel® SSD Firmware Update Tool (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26491?v=t https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26491?v=t). Additionally, could you please further explain the procedure you are using to monitor the SSD's temperature level? Finally, please post a screenshot of the values you get depending on the Microsoft Windows 10 version you have installed. I'll be waiting for your response. Regards,Andres V.
