Hello rsumperl,
We understand how this situation can be confusing, especially given public announcements referencing Intel’s sale of its NAND and SSD business to SK Hynix, which may appear to include all SSD technologies, with no call out to Optane staying with Intel. We appreciate the opportunity to help clarify this for you.
At the time the NAND and SSD business was acquired by SK Hynix, Intel® Optane™ technology was not included in that transaction. As a result, Intel Optane drives remain under Intel’s responsibility, and Solidigm does not provide technical support or warranty services for these products.
For any warranty-related inquiries or technical assistance regarding Intel Optane drives, we encourage you contacting Intel’s official memory and storage support channel, where they will be best equipped to assist you.
Kind regards,
