Intel 600p 512gb locked in read only mode

I was download a steam game when i got a drive corruption message and windows became unresponsive.  Windows would error on boot.  I booted into linux on the other drive in the machine and the drive contents are readable but reformatting the drive was not working.  Looking for some help.  Thanks,
