There are multiple factors involved in performance benchmarking: SSD workload, computer used, software, the benchmarking tool itself, etc.

As is noted in the document, the values also depend on the type of test, Read vs Write, transfer size (4K, 128K), sequential vs random, Queue Depth (should be 32), compressible data, etc. We recommend usinghttp://www.iometer.org/doc/downloads.html IOMeter* for performance benchmarking of the drives, since it allows some configurations that are not present with other tools.

Before testing, it is advised to usehttps://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/18455/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox Intel® SSD toolbox and make sure your SSD is using the most recent firmware, also you might want to do a Optimization (TRIM) before the tests. Additionally, verify that your motherboard is using recent BIOS and recommended storage adapter drivers from the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer manufacturer.

Where would i find the storage adapter drivers in the following screenshot ? The chipset is from 2006 and seems to never get updated.

The installation of OEM drivers for the storage adapter will depend on the system, some PCs may work well with the Windows* in-box driver. We advise you to check with the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support about the controller in your system, and if it requires driver update or not.

You might want to apply the BIOS updates and chipset drivers for your Computer, as well as any other update you consider relevant.
