Forcing an update to a SSD

FKřiv

Hello,
I somehow started collecting dead SSDs. Many of them have clear problem with FW corruption. Sadly, the original FW recognises the reported broken FW number as number higher than it is on the support list - for example one drive says it has FW with number 4PC10365, but the latest firmware ever made was 4PC10362, so the utility does not want me to update the firmware. Is there any way to force a firmware flash for a drive? Thank you

Hell, FKřiv.

Good day,

Thank you for contacting the Intel® Community Support.

Checking the firmware you mentioned, it is for an Intel® SSD 320 Series, due to this product being discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, but perhaps fellow community members have the knowledge to jump in and help. You may also find the Discontinued Products website (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/discontinued-products.html) helpful to address your request.

Regarding our firmware update tools, they are designed to work only with the latest version found in the article:

Thank you for understanding.
