I'm attempting to use windows 7's repair tool to hopefully get my registry working correctly again. However, for some reason,
the install disc does not see the "c" drive for this option and request a driver for the ssd. Now this is quite interesting, since it boots
from the "c" drive. I don't get it. Can someone please help me.

Intel® SSDs do not require a driver, they are operating system independent. However, the operating system may be requesting the SATA controller driver; I suggest looking for this (F6) driver from the system or motherboard manufacturer's website.
You may also consider using Last Known Good Configuration or System Restore within the Windows* repair options.
