Hi Dirk,
Thank you for posting in the Intel communities. You can change the physical sector size with the Intel® SSD Data Center Tool (DCT). You can download the tool from the following site: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28035/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool?product=87278This tool is compatible with Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04.In order to understand how to change the setting, please refer to the following document which explains how to run the commands in the Intel® SSD DCT: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/memory-and-storage/Intel_SSD_DCT_3_0_x_Use...I hope this information answers your concern. If there is anything else you need help with, feel free to ask.Have a nice day.Regards,Diego V.09-03-2018 12:55 PM

Dear Diego,
does the SSD Data Center Tool works too for Intel SSD 510 series?
Regards,
Dirk

Hi Dirk,
The Intel® SSD Data Center Tool (DCT) works only for Data Center drives. The Intel® SSD 510 Series is not a Data Center drive, therefore the tool won't work with it.Changing the physical sector size is only possible on Data Center drives through the Intel® SSD DCT.I hope this information clarifies your inquiry. If there is anything else I can help you with, feel free to ask.Have a nice day.Regards,Diego V.
