Want to use a small SSD as a cache for my 320 GB HDD.
I have a Lenovo X220 with QM67 and Win7 chipset and probably can't use Smart Response Technolgy.
I also don't want to reinstall the OS since I don't want to also reinstall all the programs etc.
OS and data are all in a single partition.
Data migration sw can copy my OS intallation and also maintain all the links for programs?
I read any Admin account need to be delete, and I only use an admin account on my laptop, this will block the migration?
Also what can be a good choice for such a small SSD. 24GB 313 can be enough? Why use SLC instead of MLC?

In case that you want to migrate only the operating system partition you will need a software that supports that feature.
Intel® Data Migration Software is a basic free software and it is provided to migrate data from drives with a single partition.

Data migration does not require the deletion of any account; however, you only have to keep in mind that you will need a destination SSD with enough capacity to store all your files, future storage needs, and also considering free space for the operating system to function normally.
Regarding Intel® Smart Response Technology we have to note that is only supported with Intel® Z68 Express Chipset or newer and any SSD with a minimum capacity of 18.6GB. This means that your system does not meet the requirements for this technology due to the Intel® QM67 Chipset.

But I don't want to migrate all my HDD, will cost me too much to have a 512GB SSD and will be really a waste of technology and money.
I want to migrate only the OS, Intel Data Migration will help me doing that? And also will it work with the Intel mSATA 525 SSD?
Here the source I'm reading about OS migration http://www.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/sb/CS-034081.htm http://www.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/sb/CS-034081.htm
