x25m- "raid not supported" message in toolbox?

I successfully updated the firmware using the tool of intel's site. followed the instructions & it confirmed the drive & after restart... the new firmware update. here's the thing - both before & after the update- the toolbox buttons will not work. & it posts a message "raid not supported" just to the right of the '74.5 gig' drive size. but I don't have a raid array??? any fixes for this?

maybe RAID option was enabled in the Bios?? you might want to check on that.

No... actually raid was disabled. it was in IDE mode. I tried switching to AHCI & then uninstalling & re-installing the toolbox... no avail.

oh.. by the by... I'm running an i5 cpu, 4 gigs ram, asus p7p55d motherboard. in the bios there is a setting for raid/AHCI/ide. I already had it set to ide. called intel support, they said that ahci was preferred, but that ide should work. so I tried setting it to ahci.
