TRIM Support Confusion?

I heard a long time ago to stick with the microsoft native drivers over the intel drivers if you wanted TRIM support for your SSD. I've searched and found discussion of intel adding trim support for RAID but nothing about general story about TRIM support if your not running raid. If you want trim support for your SSD & your not running raid should you opt for the default microsoft drivers or the latest intel sata drivers?

thanks,

Note: Intel storage drivers can be used only if your storage controller is by Intel.

Windows 7 default drivers support TRIM. If you want RAID, you cannot use this driver.

Intel drivers support TRIM for standalone SSDs. If the controller is in RAID mode, it will support TRIM for non-member SSDs (ones that are not part of an array).
