Hi all and support!
In an other thread some users had problems running the new optimizer in the SSD Toolbox 1.2.
Me too - 😉
Running XP pro 32 bit with system recovery disabled (via ssd tweaker util) and volume shadow copy service (vssvc.exe) manually disabled.
There are no system recovery points stored. Additionally I stopped all services that are bound to the backup software Acronis True Image Home
that I have installed. Even when starting XP in secured mode (German: Abgesicherter Modus via F8 at start time) the optimizer didn't start.
Version 1.1 worked so far I could see - I didn't check the variation of access times.
Any hint or clue?

I just come up with a really simple hack without modify vssadmin.exe,
here is the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEjccPrObOE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEjccPrObOE
in text
just run cmd.exe
click title bar
select defaults
change default codepage to 437 (OEM - United States)
click ok
and you are done

Dear AndCycle and GSzabo!
You did a great job! Thx a lot - hopefully that the responsibles at Intel will use
your informations to fix the coming version of the toolbox.
I preferred to change my german version to the international "vssadmin.exe".
The windows service which pretends overwriting system files has to be tricked:
Deleting the german file in the DLL-Cache allowed copying the engish version
to system32 directory...
So we can state: problem fixed... 😉

Still not sorted 😞
Not only am I already running English (British English not American English) but I also can't change the codepage from the CMD title bar.OK I'm missing something here but what is it?
Toolbox V1.2 trim still doesn't run on my XP64 system.
