I have a question regarding Smart Response set up.
I understand that it's suppose to be used for HDD caching so the HDD with your system can be much faster. Now, why anyone didn't consider the following set up:
SSD, partitioned – system and unallocated space
HDD, partitioned
Use the unallocated space to cache the HDD
Essentially, we get the system on a fast SSD and use remaining free space of ssd as cache for our main storage HDD.
I tried setting it up with SR but with no luck, simply the accelerate button doesn't show.
Why this could not be implemented?
