I need help solving a problem with firmware, software and/or hardware.
On new desktop from ibuypower, when Windows 7 Pro comes up, popup labeled "IRST Error" says "Install IRST 10.5 or above."
In system tray, there is a green checkmark by IRST saying system is functioning normally, but that does not confirm IRST is using the 60GB SSD correctly.
The IRST system report seems to show 10.6.0.1002 is already installed. Either Intel or the computer refuse to intall 10.6.0.1022. I've tried it repeatedly. It appears to install then tells me to reboot, but yet no update. Either way it is IRST 10.5 or above so the reason for the error is unknown.
The SSD is supposed to be 60GB Corsair F-series SATA3. Belarc Advisor, ASTRA32 do not tell me anything to confirm this, but Intel's IRST manager seems to confirm. I already know the system builders at Ibuypower installed the wrong DVD burner and the wrong RAM and don't know what else is screwed up.
