new firmware released 02HD - experiences so far?

so a couple of minutes ago intel released the new firmware. we could collect our experiences right here.

who did already perform the upgrade? who wants to be the first? XD

What's the SSD toolbox for, anyway? The description never made much sense to me. I certainly don't get why people are clammoring for it...

Intel Postville SSD owners, who are running Windows 7 with the generic MS IDE or AHCI drivers, will not really need the SSD Toolbox, but all the others do (unless the SSD is set into a RAID array). The problem is, that none of the pre-Win7 Operating Systems and none of the third party AHCI drivers do support the Trim command. If the users want to prevent the decrease of the SSD performance, they have to run the Optimizer, which is part of the SSD Toolbox.

Aside from what Fernando said, the toolbox can be used to check SMART attributes uncluding wear of your SSD, and also to diagnose your SSD.

Upgraded successful, CHKDSK didn`t run after upgrade as before.

So far good, it seems the 4K write iops faster by about 30%. Tested with "AS SSD".

I have my SATA set to RAID mode in BIOS. My SSD is not running in a RAID array but I do have 2 other HDDs running as a RAID0 array. Will changing the bios setting for the SATA to non RAID (so that I can flash the SSD firmware) blow up my HDD array or will the HDD array just work again afterI go back in to the BIOS after flashing the SSD and reset it to RAID again?
