Hi guys!
I've an Intel X-25M SSD (80GB) model and would like to enable TRIM on Lion.
- I have readed a lot about this, and noted that on Lion, Apple is only enabling TRIM on Apple SSD hardware.
- Do I really need to enable TRIM or X-25M does not need it?
- What will be the main benefit of TRIM enabled?
Regards,

You should be asking this question on an Apple forum, not an Intel forum. Intel X25-M-series drives support TRIM; whether or not your OS implements it and chooses to discriminate based on drive model string (or whatever) is their choice. Again: you need to take this up with Apple, not here on the Intel forum. The drive you bought supports TRIM; if your OS advocated vendor lock-in (e.g. Apple-branded-only products), that's not the fault of the X25-M.
As for "what is TRIM, why do I want it?", take 20 minutes out of your day and read Wikipedia. Don't skim http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRIM the article, read it. It answers your question.
