hello,
i recently purchased an intel ssd
the product worked for two weeks
now i get a message asking me to insert bootable media
i can think of nothing ive done new or different
the bios shows the drive
but it will not boot
i am using windows seven, i had updates set to automatic
is this simply a total failure of the drive and i should return it to the store where i bought it or is this something common with ssds and you all have a simple solution
typed from my phone, obv the comp is not working

Also, I cloned my previous HDD onto the SSD. The cloned drive booted fine for 2 weeks.
When plugged into a computer using the USB adapter, no drive pops up under my computer.

after putting a Live Desktop CD (Backtrack Linux) into my laptop, and executing a "fdisk -l" command, the drive is listed as 8mb...
then I found this:

well, after reading some of that, I feel like it makes more sense.
I took my laptop on a road trip this weekend and the last time I tried to turn it on the battery was dead, which seemed weird to me because have hiberation/sleep turned off but I couldn't remember if I shut the machine down properly or it ran out of juice because the power socket in the hotel was connected to the light switch and I didn't realize it. At any rate that was last night and I just put the thing back in its cary case instead of plugging it in. Imagine my surprise today when I got home and wanted to play some portal 2.
