I am looking to upgrade my Macbook Pro 2014 from Apple 256GB SSD to a 512 or 1TB 760P SSD. Since this is a TLC drive, I am wondering if this will work and if it will work with the following adapter card. (or is there a different recommended adapter card?) https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01CWWAENG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3LUEZHQOA50VU&psc=1 Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card.
Also, any tips are appreciated (I have read that hybernate may need to be turned off).

Hi twnorman,
Thank you for posting in the Intel® communities.
The only operating systems that have been tested and validated with the Intel® SSD 760p Series are Windows* 7, Windows* 10, RHEL* 7.3 and Ubuntu* 16.04 according to the information in the following article: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026488/memory-and-storage.html Frequently Asked Questions for Intel® SSD 760p / Pro 7600p Series
Having said this, the drive wouldn't be compatible with the Macbook* Pro as it uses another OS. Additionally, the drive has been tested with the native NVMe* driver that Windows* includes. It hasn't been tested with other drivers or OS native drivers, so it may be possible that the drive doesn't work properly under this system.
We don't recommend the use of third party adapters either because the drive performance may be affected, or even prevent the drive to work or to be recognized by the system.
On the other hand, I've found a thread in a public forum where some users discussed several options to upgrade/replace the SSD in their Macbook* Pro 2013/2014. I'm sharing this thread with you as you may find it interesting, and it may help you to accomplish your goal of upgrading your system: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/upgrading-2013-2014-macbook-pro-ssd-to-m-2-nvme.2034976/page-39 Upgrading 2013/2014 Macbook Pro SSD to M.2 NVMe | Page 39 | MacRumors Forums
I hope you find this information useful.
Have a nice day.
