Howdy Everyone. Just picked up the Intel 750 1.2TB SSD card. Installed it on my X99 Asus Rampage V board and installed Windows 7 X64 without a problem. However, I am seeing a boot performance issue. This drive is taking about 25 seconds to boot, approximately 13 seconds longer than my Samsung 850 EVO. Did a little Googling on this and apparently, I am not the only one. I have read several reviews and the ones that measure boot time / performance will say this is the slowest SSD to boot. I have provided the link below as an example.

Intel - Is this going to be fixed in a future firmware release? I wont be able to justify keeping this card if first generation SSD's still outperform in terms of booting.
Thanks,

I have that same problem. And yes the intel 750 is slow at that point. But I think it's a Windows problem to. It seems to be stuck at that one spot loading. Could be video drivers. Or something else. If it did stop right after the Windows flag loading it would be fast booting

Hi!
I worry about this too. Is this phenomena only with the PCIe slot version of the Intel 750 SSD, or is it with the SFF-8639 version too?
If this isn't fixed I'd have to choose some one else, like the Samsung XS1715.

Hello DarkUltra,
The Add-in-card and the SFF-8639 are both PCIe 3.0 x4 drives, the initialization process is similar for both form factors. We expect the boot time for them to improve with future updates.
Please keep in mind that the Intel® SSD 750 Series are considered a high end consumer SSD. The price and performance for Enterprise drives from Intel or from other vendors, like the Samsung XS1715, is expected to be different in comparison to the 750 Series.
For your consideration, we would like to add that the drives from the http://Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe*/ Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe* are already available from resellers as well, these include the http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-specifications/ssd-dc-p3500-seri... Hello! Another one unlucky customer here. I'm observing this thread since a mounth, but nothing happened so far. Not only boot, but also wake up from sleep takes too much time. I wondering that this issue was not fully described in reviews. The only link where it will be said is the link given by the creator of this thread. All other reviewers fully ignoring boot performance - possibly because they don't want to loose Intel's loyality.... That's unfair to us, who spent more than $1k for a SSD, which is slower in terms of boot/wake up performance as every other SSD on market.
Please, DO SOMETHING with this bug!
