Hello,

during the cleaning process I inadvertently deleted one hidden file, unfortunately I don't remember the name , but after PC restart my SSD drive is not initialized, the disk management recognize it only as Disc 0 and after I push “Initialize” I get the error: could not find specific file,

what can I do now? thanks

Hi aleve2,

We have reviewed the interaction with the super user regarding your issue with the SSD not responding as some files were erased by mistake.

Please let us know if the SSD is being recognized in BIOS, in case the SSD is showing in BIOS, we will request your cooperation to perform the following procedure:

First, you’ll need to download the Intel® SSD Firmware Update Tool from Intel’s website, by following this link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28749/Intel-SSD-Firmware-Update-Tool to properly get informed on Limitations, requirements and installation steps, please download the Intel® SSD Firmware Update Tool User Guide, by accessing this link: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/memory-and-storage/Intel_SSD_FUT_User_Guid...

Second, to create an ISO image to an USB Flash drive, please go to section 2.3 (Page 11) for detailed instructions.

Once the USB Flash drive is created, please go to section 2.4 follow instructions to perform SSD Firmware Update.

After finishing above procedure, please check your Windows OS to look for your SSD.

If all procedures are successful, please proceed performing a Secure Erase of your SSD, using the Intel® SSD Toolbox https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28808/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox?product=80096

We have available for download the User and Installation Guides for Intel® SSD Toolbox by accessing this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000020382/memory-and-storage.html Please go to section 8 Performing a Secure Erase and read the instructions, then go to section 8.4 and run the Secure Erase procedure.

We will be waiting for your response. We will be more than happy to help you in any way we can.
