SSD (320 Series) does only contain zeros after rebooting

Hello,

I use an Intel SSD 320 with 160GB since 2011 without problems. Some days ago I had the feeling, that my computer shut down a little bit faster than normal (but I'm not sure, because it shuts down very fast). Since this moment the SSD does only contain zeros (according to hexdump). The password-dialog does recognize if I entered the correct or a wrong password for the encryption, that works. I didn't try if I could write on the SSD, because I don't want to destroy any data.

Does anyone has an idea if I can rescue the data on the SSD? What could be the reason of the failure, how can I avoid it in the future?

Regards

Harald
