Hi parkjungsu,

Thank you for posting in the Intel® communities.By searching through the community, I found this thread where the issue you are facing is described: /thread/24205 https://communities.intel.com/thread/24205. According to that thread, this issue may be fixed by updating the firmware to the latest version available, however that can only be done before getting the issue.Once the issue happens, there is no way to update the firmware or recover the drive. Following the information in the thread, you have 2 options: you can submit a ticket in order to start a warranty process, or you can secure erase your drive and then try to apply the firmware update. The secure erase process should recover your drive but it will erase all data in it. Once the SSD has been recovered, you can apply the firmware update to prevent this issue from happening again. This can be perform using the Intel® SSD Toolbox. On the other hand, if you prefer to start a warranty process, you can submit a ticket through the following site: https://supporttickets.intel.com/?lang=en-USI hope you find this information useful.Have a nice day.Regards,Diego V.

oh hi Diego V.

Thank you for your reply first. Is it impossible to update the firmware without erasing the data? This is a really frustrating problem. I do not want to blow up the data collected for a year.

Are you sure you know how? If so, I will delete the ssd data before updating the firmware.
