P3520 lost datastore in esxi 5.5 u3 back after reboot

BBopp

We have a P3520 1,2TB in an ESXi 5.5 U3. After one year in production it went offline within the ESXi host and the datastore was lost. After a reboot the datastore was back online again. We use the intel nvme 1.0e2.0 driver.

Firmware is MDV10271.

I wanted to update to firmware version MDV10290 but the newer data center tools that include this firmware update are not provided for ESXi anymore. The newest SSD-Firmware-Update-Tool also only includes MDV10271.

My questions:

Is there any known bug that can lead to the problem that ESXi doesnt see the P3520 NVME anymore until reboot?

Is there a list of what has been fixed between firmware version MDV10271 to MDV10290?

Thank you!
