I just built a new pc and I'm having trouble getting my Intel 750 Series SSD to show up in bios. I'm using the Hyper Kit and cord they provided with the motherboard. However, there were not explicit directions included. All I did was attach the the Hyper Kit to the Motherboard (Its slides into socket below heatsink and then has a small screw thing to keep in place). I then attached the cord to the back of SSD and use the other part of the cord (Sata Conector) to a sata cord that has my other Hard Drive attached to. The other Hard drive does show up and work. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
P.S. Does the 750 Series need its own data power cord or can it share the one with my other drive?
My System
CPU: i7 6700K
Motherboard: Asus z170 - Deluxe

Hello Prino,
The Intel® Solid-State Drive 750 Series is an NVMe drive, so it will not be displayed like other hard drives that connect to the SATA storage controller of the Motherboard's chipset.
- Booting from the 750 or even using it as a secondary drive requires some changes in the BIOS, and in some cases, you might need to use the most recent BIOS of your Motherboards (this could be confirmed with the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support).
- The Intel® SSD 750 Series is PCIe device and requires a driver to work properly. It may not be detected by the OS without the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23929/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Data-Center-Family-for-PCIe-... Intel® Solid-State Drive Data Center Family for PCIe Drivers.
- The U.2 cable that connects the Hyperkit to the SSD should have a SATA power connector to provide power to the drive. Please make sure this is plugged in properly.
I recommend you to review the following thread from another user, with a similar issue and using your same motherboard model. We were able to get it to work after reviewing a few things:

Hi there Jonathan
I have recently built a new build as follows
MSI Godlike gaming board
intel 5960x
Corsair 2400 DDR Dominator Ram
evga gtx 980 ti Kingpin
Everything works including my main drive which is a normal ssd drive. But for some reason I connected everything correctly using the power connector and sata cable but no sign of this drive in the bios, This is a X99 with updated bios. Not sure if I need to do something else. No flashing indicator , not sure if this board has one, as it's new! it just appears dead. Bit frustrating, but im sure there is some simple solution to fix this!

Hello KainSwiss,
The Intel® SSD 750 Series, is a PCIe* NVMe* device, and it does not show in the PC BIOS as a regular SSD. The Motherboard has to be set to UEFI boot (if you wish to boot from this drive).
We advise you to review the following documents, as you will find details about the installation and configuration examples for some systems:
