When i cold-start my computer everything is fine, but when I restart my computer from within a freshly installed windows-7, the drive is not found.
If i turn off the computer and start it again, the drive is found and boots up again as usual. So the drive fails after reset.
I have upgraded the firmware of the SSD to the latest version via the SSD toolbox but still no luck. also updated laptop bios to latest version.
I had no problems in the past with the Intel SSD 510 edition.
Any ideas on what to do?Clarification:
So, when I insert my Intel 510 SSD and start windows and restart windows it works without problem. But with the Intel 530 it wails when I do restart, the BIOS does not find it after a normal reset. So that must conclude that the Intel SSD 530 has some bug? or is sensitive to some timing issue?
Should I return it? or just assume its incompatible with my laptop?

My issue must be different, the new firmware did not resolve my issue. My shuttle PC will wont detect these drives, I have two and neither of them work. It seems that if i have a different brand of drive plugged in I get better results. Not sure if this is Shuttles issue or Intel's but I know that the Samsung drives work so I am returning 5 of these and just ordered the Samsungs.

I am happy to report that the new firmware fixed the problem on HP 2570p with F.44 BIOS. Warm restart is now working perfectly.
Go Intel !

Hi,
Recently bought 240GB Intel 530 SSD for my Late 2011 Macbook 13. That was a complete failure -
2-3 minutes long boot, constant 5-10 second freezes / beachballing, disk missing on reboot.
Luckily I found this thread, and have been watching it for a while.
After applying DC32 boot now takes 20 second and seems it fixed reboot issue, too. Still i experience minor 1-2 second freezes.
Anyway, thank you guys for all of your help! Keep up good work.
I will post later after several days of testing.

Issue resolved on HP elitebook 8470p.
Thank you!!
Just a bit advice here, for this kind of issues in the future, maybe you can inform the customer support team and keep them updated on the progress of the engineering team? I have contacted the customer support and they suggested changing boot order, resetting bios, reinstalling OS, contacting HP (HP suggested me to do a disk check which would take hours, reinstalling OS and replace the SSD for a new one). After all this, my issue was still not solved and a lot of trouble was caused until I find this thread, then I told both customer support from intel and HP that I have identified the issue and I will just wait for the firmware update.
