Intel P4600 Compatibility

We are looking forward to buy intel P4600 x 8 and we will be using these as storage for Servers.

My Hardware is Chip Set is Intel C600 / X79 (Super Micro X9DRD-7LN4F)

Motherboard has PCIE Express 3.0 x 8 (2nd Generation).

IS P4600 4 TB Compatible with the pcie slot as on the production specification sheet it says pcie, 3.1 x 4 ?????

I will be using Windows Server 2012 and 2016 OS for this product?

About your question, it is important for you to know that even though the SSD uses PCIe NVMe 3.1 x4, it should work fine with your motherboard that runs at PCIe NVMe 3.0 x8. The inconvenience here will be that the drive will not perform at the advertised speed since the bandwidth will not match with the PCIe NVMe 3.1 x4.For a better answer, you may also want to contact the motherboard's manufacturer as well, so they can give you their inputs.Regards,Nestor C
