Check the current PSU output voltages using tools like HWMonitor of SpeedFan. Over- and undervoltages often lead to devices malfunction.

Check also cabling, bad SATA or power cable may be source of trouble.

This MB (year 2007) have a very limited SATA controller (no AHCI mode support), combined with outdated BIOS this may result in poor SSD support. Some Kingston documents openly states AHCI support as a requirement for different SSD operations: http://www.kingston.com/us/support/technical/kingston-ssd-toolbox.aspx Kingston SSD Toolbox , http://media.kingston.com/support/downloads/603ABBFO_Update_Procedure_051915.pdf http://media.kingston.com/support/downloads/603ABBFO_Update_Procedure_051915.pdf . Looks like its time for upgrade.
