Intel 760p unsafe shutdown SMART data with fast startup

Hello,

I have noticed that the SMART data for unsafe shutdowns increments by 1 everytime I shutdown when fast startup is enabled (the default setting) in Windows 10. With it disabled it does not do this.

I​ am running latest BIOS (0601) for my Asus prime p ii motherboard, the latest 760p firmware and the latest NVME driver.

There are no noticeable problems with the SSD but I have left fast startup off because it bugs me that this value is increasing every shutdown.

Anyone know of a fix?

Just to update, I have resolved the issue.

The problem is with the Intel NVME driver it seems. Switching to the Microsoft standard NVME driver and turning fast startup back on does not result in unsafe shutdowns being recorded.
