Intel 160 GB 320 Series

I have a SSDSA2BW160G3 Intel 160 GB 320 Series SSD. It has a security lock on it. Is there anyway of removing it or deleting it so i can use the drive?

Hello dog_k9, On this case I suggest you to perform a secure erase at the Solid State Drive since this option will set the Solid State Drive back to factory settings and might solve the problem you describe.You can try the following options:

Download the Intel(R) Solid State Drive toolbox, install the Solid State Drive as a secondary hard disk drive using a SATA port and use the secure erase option, you can download the toolbox from the following link:

If you cannot connect the Solid State Drive as a secondary hard disk drive you might want to use a bootable CD with a tool that allow you perform a secure erase using commands from the bootable CD.

I am sorry to know about this issue. The only way to gain access to the drive again is by entering the password used to protect it, in the same system model where the password was set for the first time.
