Install Windows 7 Pro on 750 400GB NVMe

I'm been trying to install Windows 7 Pro onto this system:

ASUS Maximus VIII Z170 Chipset Mainboard

Intel 750 MVMe PCIe SSD

I've updated all the drivers, firmware but when I boot from a Windows 7 DVD, I ask it to load the Intel Drivers, it scans for drives and then tells me that there are not acceptable drives to install on. The WIN7 DVD is in a DVD-RW connected to an internal SATA port and the driver on a USB stick.

I've followed the instructions from the SSD support page for the drive:

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/ssdc/hpssd/sb/nvme_boot_guide_332098001us.p... http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/ssdc/hpssd/sb/nvme_boot_guide_332098001us.p...

As a test was able to load Win7 onto a SATA SSD and then load the NVMe driver. Worked fine and I was able to partition and access the NVMe 750 drive.

any help would be appreciated . Windows 8 or Win 10 are not an option as the main use software requires windows 7 pro.

THanks.

Waltmania,

We understand the SSD is not detectable during installation, we see you followed the correct guide in order to make it bootable and installed the correct driver.

Something we need you to check to properly boot Windows* 7 from an NVMe SSD is that your system must support loading UEFI drivers when the Compatibility Support Module is enabled.

Let us know if that is possible, we will continue researching about this situation as well here.
