How to update P3700 firmware in esxi 5.5; tools for Windows, RHEL but not for VMware

How do I update the firmware on a PCIe P3700 with ESXi 5.5? The Data Center tools are for Windows and other versions of Linux, but nothing specific for VMware.

Hello jjc53,

Currently there is no way to update the firmware for NVMe PCIe SSD's in VMware. You would need to boot from Linux or Windows, then use https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23931/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Data-Center-Tool ISDCT to update the firmware.
