Anybody know if the P3700 2.5" drives support encryption like other Intel non-PCIe drives?

Hello jesse.lynch,
The Intel® SSD DC P3700 Series encryption features are different than other Intel® SSDs.
For example, these drives do not support features like ATA password. We will have additional information about this soon.
Please let us know if this is the information is helpful, or if you need additional details about this topic.

Will I be able to use hdparm (running Linux) to set the password?

Hello jesse.lynch,
To our knowledge HDparm does not support NVMe (PCIe) devices like the Intel® SSD DC P3700.
Regardless the P3700 does not have password support at this time. This means that the option to use AES encryption on this drive to secure data is not available.

Jonathan,
Is that also true for the Intel 750?

Hello jesse.lynch,
The Intel® SSD 750 Series share a lot features with the Intel® SSD DC P3700 Series. Neither one supports password protection.
